In life, there are times when you are all lost
To feel the pain more tormenting than of a holocaust.
The times when you are all alone,
When you see not the goal, but hurdle and stone.
Even the positive goings make you frown,
Leave apart the upsets that take you further down.
You find the whole world standing against you,
And you see them yelling at you.
You perished your soul, you ruined your birth
And now remains nothing to be unearthed.
The feelings that have been so far built
And through them creeps in the guilt.
In the midst of all the upheavals of life,
Is their any way that I can strive?
Is their any ray of light that can penetrate this darkness,
Or shall I have to continue in the same furnace.
Who shall uncover these cobwebs of myth?
To find out what actually lies underneath.
Let time only discover the answer,
Until then I shall consider,
That even the strongest steel gets its best,
Only when it clears the scorching heat test

WHAT IS HOLDING BACK THE INDIAN WOMEN?
An article to cater only to the roadblocks in the success stories of this gender of the society and the solutions to them would be our action.
Before answering the question that I’ve just asked, I do have another in line. What was the need to introduce the Women Reservation Bill in the Lok Sabha on 12th sept. 1996, stating that 33% seats in Parliament and State Legislatures for women be reserved.
Its proponents say it would better the gender inequality in workplaces: thereby resulting in women empowerment. But give it a thought. Is it not a pity, sympathy for this gender of society? Is it not a hurdle in their progress, just by granting them power and control when they don’t even know how to put a signature? In any case one thing is sure- there’s no upliftment, only what is called in crisp form, spoon-feeding.
When men can carve out their own pathways of success and glory without getting any reservations or grants like this, why women cannot reach to the pinnacle on their own abilities. Probably because they have been held back. They have been trapped into the cobwebs of the society, the customs, the family and the responsibilities; the worst sufferers being the women in the rural areas, where if the present situation continues to prevail it is going to be an impasse in the future. The weeds that are eating up the plant of female progress are numerous, but those causing the great impact are insecurity, education and health concerns; the three utmost areas of concern which if given a proper attention would definitely remove other weeds and foster the growth of that plant.
INSECURITY
According to National Crime Report Bureau, 1.5 lakhs crimes are registered annually out of which 50,000 are of domestic violence.2 out of 100 are convicted.80% try to reconcile the matter with the husband and the family. There is high level of insecurity relating to the women safety especially amongst the working women. There is no actual data available on the number of rapes occurring in the nation, credit to the fact that majority of them get buried unreported pertaining to the family and societal fear. Though many cases have seen quick trials in recent times, a vast majority gets lost in the dusty files.
EDUCATION CONCERNS
Indian constitution guarantees free primary school education for boys and girls upto age 14. But primary education in the country is not universal. Literacy rate for women is 39% vs. 64% for men. This certainly reduces the productivity and potential of a girl child and later a woman. This problem itself produces a series of loopholes. For instance, women play an important role in imparting hygiene behaviours to young children and hence effective use of sanitation facilities will depend on their involvement in choosing technology of such facilities; but ignorance about such knowledge hold them back. Further improper sanitation facilities lead to girls dropping out of schools; producing a vicious circle. Kerala depicts an appropriate example of how education helps a woman to develop a family and to lower birth rates and improve child and maternal health society, where 85% women are literate. Their higher educational levels provide the cutting edge.
HEALTH CONCERNS
According to India Together Group, the probability of an Indian mother dying during childbirth is roughly 10 times that of her Chinese counterpart. Gender disparities in nutrition are evident from infancy to adulthood. Girls are breast-fed less frequently and for shorter durations in infancy; in childhood and adulthood, males are fed first and better. A sound mind lies in a sound body. With such inequality prevailing in feeding practices, there is certainly a setback for them. When there is no food for body, there is no food for thoughts.

The fact that India is a male-dominated society has percolated so deep in our society that even a woman trying to step ahead is held back. So instead of delivering speeches and lectures on women empowerment or going for processions and rallies, we need to come ahead with the actions aiming at eradicating the root problems. Instead of adopting a defensive solution, let us try to fight the problem. Let us remove what is holding back females. A question…. can we do it? Can we shorten the gender inequality gap not by the short cuts, but by helping them build their selves?

RESPECT TIME TO DESERVE ITS
Time and tide wait for none,
those who ridicule, time makes their fun.
Those who abide by
stumble initially, not to further cry..
In the awe of glory and fame
we forget the moves of the time-game.
In the earnest urge of building another Rome
we forget the society and the home.
Engrossed are we in our own dealings
we give a damn to their feelings.
At times, a heart could blossom just with a Hello
we chide it under the cover of a callow.
And when we realize the might of time
we are left with nothing but dollar aka dime.
Money earned us that fame and that glory
but this is an incomplete story.
Money earned us only fame and glory
the family is no more in the story.
Tides have passed, times have gone
now there’s nothing left for us to hone.
Voids that we have created for long
nothing could be retrieved from the throng.
No more bolt, no more blow
it’s only sorrow and sorrow.
For, time and tide wait for none,

MYSTERY OF SILENCE
Silence is a weapon
to fight the fights
to unload your emotions
inspite of the misleading lights.
The fights of feelings,
the fights of existence.
He created humans with the power of speech
only to realize later
that it’s nothing more than a tool to beseech.
He decided to unleash the power of silence
in all the subsequent species.
And the result is not hidden
we see the synchronization in the community of bees.
Not to forget the team work of ants
Silence creates the wonders
to help you stand the most troublesome thunders.
Silence brings us closer
Words widen the gap.
Silence epitomizes the distance between two lovers.
Words provide the heat to do the most unapt.
Silence puts down the fire
Words take you to the quagmire.
Silence is the only connecting chord
Words are just to scatter the whole lot.
So once we realize the strength of this wonder tool
There shall be no chaos in the world pool.
Rightly said”action speaks louder than words”.
